A Time to Give
I believe the best the communities are those that take responsibility to help their own. While it seems that even generosity has been commercialized by mega-nonprofits, there are still those passionate individuals and organizations that work relentlessly to fill the unmet needs in their towns. During this season of thanks, I’d like to highlight several organizations that I love to support. I can attest that these organization make a difference.
A Precious Child – www.apreciouschild.org
Provides for needs of families with children. Clients can get everything from essential products to fashionable clothing at the boutique stores. Children and parents alike shop with dignity. These people are the best!
Broomfield Rotary – www.broomfieldrotary.org
Ever wonder what the Broomfield community leaders are doing when nobody is looking? Some of the biggest programs and projects in Broomfield are funded or are direct projects by this group. I’m biased, I’ve been a member for a decade. Just one example of the work: Broomfield Santa Cops. Ridiculously awesome!
Broomfield FISH – www.broomfieldfish.org
For 50 years this organization has been helping area residents get back on their feet. An unwavering commitment and contributions from the community make this organization an irreplaceable force. Feeding the hungry is one of the purest forms of compassion.
